EAST PEORIA - Ruby Mayrene Scott Fisher, 82, a former resident of East Peoria, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill.
She was born Dec. 27, 1932, in Decaturville, Tenn., the daughter of Willie Lee and Arkie Delphia (Johnson) Hamm.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Verla) Scott of Bartonville, Janice (Joseph) Zinkan of Bethalto and Wayne Scott and Melanie Hertz of Pekin; her stepchildren, Troy and Kara Fisher of Godfrey and Michelle and Chris Fisher of Godfrey; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Services were held Aug. 6, 2015, at Glendale United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jack Mocaby officiating. Interment was in Glendale Cemetery in Glendale, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
