Mr. Paul “P.D.” Watts, 80, of Robinette Road, Taylorsville, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Watts was born September 28, 1934 in Alexander County to the late Andrew Wilson Watts and Florence Bumgarner Watts.
He was a US Army veteran. He was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church but had also attended Little River Baptist Church. P.D. had worked for Alexander County Social Services for over 40 years.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his brothers, Billy Watts and Buddy Watts.
Those left to cherish his memory include: a son, Andy Watts and wife, Jeana, of Taylorsville; two grandchildren, Seth and Will Watts; two sisters, Jean Fox and Ruth Jolly both of Taylorsville; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Watts-Bumgarner Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Chapman will officiate. Military honors accorded by DAV Chapter 84 of Taylorsville.
