Mark Jennings went to be with his heavenly Father on Aug. 4, 2015 in Sebring, Fla. He was born on July 13, 1951 in Sullivan, Ind., to the late Lee and Nancy Carter Jennings.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; sister Judy Ruziecki; nieces, Mandi, Mel and Missy; his children, Jon Davis, Mary Wiggins, Shandon Reed and his special children, Markie, Sarah and Jessica Steve and Jennifer; special cousin, Chriss who he grew up with and stirred up trouble wherever they went; cousin Louise and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. His special joy, though he didn’t see them often, were all his grandchildren, his oldest, Marcus Williams, attending Texas A&M and he was so proud.

Mark was a veteran who served with the U.S. Navy. He had many friends who understood him and loved him — thank you Jim Wiggins and Mike Rose. He loved Jesus his Lord and Savior and was a deacon at his church after accepting Christ. He taught Bible studies for his children and others.

Mark retired from the State of California Department of Corrections where he taught inmates a paint trade. He loved riding Harleys and music — it touched his soul and he understood it. He played many guitars. Now he is riding on the streets of glory with his heavenly Father, pain free.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at 11 a.m., at Domingos Mexican Restaurant banquet room. Casual dress is requested.

Arrangements entrusted to Stephenson–Nelson Funeral Home, (863) 385-0125. Online condolences may be left at stephensonnelsonfh.com.
