William W. Skalisky
The funeral for William W. Skalisky, who died Sunday at age 90, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Mortuary Chapel.
Mr. Skalisky was a long-time dairy farmer in his native state of Minnesota. He moved to Carmichael after his retirement in the early 1960s. He was a veteran of World War I and a charter member of Modern Woodmen of America.
He is survived by his wife, Nettie; daughters, Mildren R. Sisson of Woodland, Shirley Belle Nicholes of San Carlos and Eleanor Mae Franklin of Camino; sons, Edwin E. of Shingle Springs, Raymond W. of San Jose, Leonard H. of Arnold Park, Iowa, William J. Jr. of Sacramento, Lester M. of Sacramento, Lloyd A. of Redwood City, Vernon G. of Carmichael and James O. of Carmichael; numerous brothers and sisters in Minnesota; 40 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. One son, Warren F. Skalisky, preceded him in death.
Burial will be at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests that any remembrances be sent [to] the American Cancer Society in memory of his son, Warren F. Skalisky.
