The memorial service for Pastor Donald A. Drew will be 11 am Saturday, November 16 at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Smith officiating.
Burial will be for the convenience of the family.
Calling hours are Friday, November 15th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Volunteer Transportation Center, 203 N. Hamilton St., or to Hospice of Jefferson Co.,1398 Gotham St., both in Watertown, NY 13601.
Pastor Drew, 70, Holcomb St., pastor of Hope Presbyterian Church, LeRay St., Watertown, passed away Sunday, November 10 at his home surrounded by his family, and under the direction of Hospice of Jefferson County.

Pastor Drew was born in Penn Yan, NY, June 22, 1943, a son to Frederick and Ethel Brown Drew. He graduated high school from Penn Yan Academy.
Don served a tour of duty with the US Army starting in 1962 and was honorable discharged with the rank of E6. He later received his Associate's degree from Jefferson Community College and his Bachelor's degree from SUNY Utica.
He married Cynthia (Cindy) L. MacDonald March 20, 1982 in Winthrop, NY, Pastor Patrick Ramer officiating.
For several years, Don held various positions in security to include Woolworth's, Penny's, and Weston's and was the Loss Prevention Director at Kinney Drugs. He operated the Cash for Can's Redemption Center from 1983 until the mid 1980's.
Don became a commissioned Lay Pastor for the Northern New York Presbytery in 1995, serving in Oxbow. He was named Pastor at Hope Presbyterian Church in December of 2000 and was currently serving in that capacity at the time of his passing.
Pastor Drew was the Executive Director for the Volunteer Transportation Center in Watertown from 2000 until retiring in 2009.
Don was an accomplished photographer, working for the Syracuse newspapers and the Nascar publication, Gator Racing, in Syracuse. He was an avid New York Yankee Baseball fan and a baseball card collector. He was a member of the Kiwanis, Rotary, Eagles and Moose Club's.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia L. (MacDonald) Drew; two daughters, Penny (Bruce) Heaslip, Sackets Harbor and Heather Drew, Watertown; two grandchildren, Shannon (Bob) Thomas, Eagle River, Alaska and Sarah Heaslip, Sackets Harbor; a great-grandson, David Heaslip, Eagle River, AK.; his sister, Marion (Jack) Tomion, Stanley, NY; brother Richard Krieger, Walworth, NY; his step siblings Herbert Krieger, Jr., Shirley Orr and Eva Dixon and many nieces and nephews.

Don was predeceased by his father, Fred Drew; his mother, Ethel Drew Krieger and his step-father, Herbert Krieger.
