Patty Ellen Marshall, 87, of Chattanooga, died on July 1, 2015.

She was born May 13, 1928, in Norton, Va., to the late Lemuel and Opal Gibson.

She was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church for 48 years. For a number of years, Mrs. Marshall baby-sat children out of her home.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Harry Marshall; three children, Curtis (Glenda) Marshall of Newnan, Georgia; Janice (Wayne) Williams; and John Marshall all of Chattanooga; her son at heart, Graham Craig of Atlanta; one sister, Inez Bell of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Steven Williams of Chattanooga; Barrett (Brandi) Williams of Boynton; Kara Marshall of Newnan; and twin great-grandchildren, Skylar and Landon Williams.

Funeral services will be on held Monday, July 6, at 10 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Dr. Richard Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 5, from 2-4 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel.
