Carolyn P. Williamson
September 19, 1953 - August 9, 2015

Carolyn Price Williamson, 61, passed away peacefully in her home August 9th, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 19, 1953 in Opelika, AL.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 38 years, Frank Williamson of Auburn, AL, her children Joshua Williamson (Lacey) of Winchester, VA, twin daughters Gabrielle Williamson and Abigail Williamson (Marcelo) of Atlanta, GA, and step-daughter Barbara Jo Williamson (John) of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by her grandson Austin Williamson of Winchester, VA, and by her brothers, Stanley Price (Beverly) of Beulah, Donald Price of Auburn, and her dog Rose as well as a large extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Penelope and Jack Feibus, her father, Jack W. Price, and her sister Jackie Pittman.

Carolyn was the Executive Director at University Aviation Association for 14 years and previously served the organization for 8 years as the Manager of Member Services. She was a founding member of Women in Aviation, International, where she led as the Vice President and Editor of Women in Aviation magazine for 4 years.

Carolyn did not believe in ‘burning daylight’ and kept us all busy for many years. After serving the aviation industry for many years, she received her own private pilot’s license. She found her passion in jewelry making later in life and enjoyed spending time learning new techniques at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown NC. She spent many weekends and holidays with her family at Dauphin Island, AL where she enjoyed scavenging for beach glass, making jewelry, and gardening. She was also an active member of the Auburn Rotary club for many years.

Carolyn was hands down the world’s best Mom and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your contributions toward lung cancer research. Please donate to the charity or organization of your choice.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 11th, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 12th, at 10:00 AM, at Town Creek Cemetery in Auburn.
