Francela was the daughter of Amos Crockett and Julia Woodcock. She married William E Lewis. They were the parents of Herbert S. She married 2nd Thomas Richardson on 16 February 1882 in Buena Vista Co, Iowa.

June 27, 1896 - Storm Lake Tribune - At Newell about 6:45 lightning struck the home of Mr. and Mrs. T.M. Richardson and instantly killed them both. They were sitting on a sofa together watching the storm when their daughter called them to supper. They told her to wait a few minutes while they watched the storm, when lightning struck the aide of the house back of where they were sitting, striking one in the right and the other in the left temple.

Each had been married before, Mr. Richardson being the father of three daughters and Mrs. Richardson the mother of one son, Bert Lewis, who has been attending college at this place.

Mr. and Mrs. Crocket of this place, are the parents of Mrs. Richardson. The family had just moved to the town from the country and Mr. Richardson had engaged in the grocery business with Mr. Blair.

The funeral took place at Newell Thursday afternoon under the auspices of the Odd Fellow and Rebekahs, of which societies they were members. About 70 members of the two orders from Storm Lake and about 15 from Alta attended the services.
