Dennis F. Shaw
Presque Isle -- Dennis Fraser Shaw, 80, of Bangor, formerly of Presque Isle, died at a Bangor hospital Thursday after a long illness.
Mr. Shaw was born at Lower Brighton, N.B., March 4, 1883, the son of William and Harriet (Keegan) Shaw. He resided at Presque Isle from 1898 until 1962.
Mr. Shaw was a member of the Baptist Church of Lower Brighton, N.B.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice (Shaw) Shaw of Bangor; four sons, Harold of Bridgeport, Conn., Ralph of Bangor, Merle of Candia, N.H., and Dennis F. Shaw Jr. of Thomaston, Conn.; 10 daughters, Mrs. Fern Lovely of Presque Isle, Mrs. Ruth Carter of North Sedgwick, Mrs. Amy Davenport of Easton, Mrs. Opal Ladrette of Manchester, N.H., Mrs. Mabel Brace of Haverhill, Mass., Mrs. Daisy Barbin of Pasadena, Tex., Mrs. Pearl Redmond of Fort Meade, Md., Mrs. Betty Leach of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Carol Kelley of Belfast and Miss Faye Shaw of Bangor; a brother, James of Bath, N.B.; a sister, Mrs. Evangeline Foster of Houlton; 45 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday at Graves Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Bernard R. Patten, pastor of the Full Gospel Assembly of Presque Isle, officiating.
Interment will be in Marshall Cemetery, Westfield.
