David Evan Gottfredson

1937 - 2015


Early Life: David was born December 15, 1937, to Merrill Edward and Martha Melva Henrie Gottfredson. He graduated from Springville High School.

Life's Work | Service | Interests: He joined the United States Air Force, serving four years as Airman Third Class where he became a skilled aircraft jet mechanic. He was honorably discharged in 1958. In 1967, he was a student at Yuba College in Marysville, California, when he met his wife, Dixie Lot Gardner, a marriage that lasted 21 years; they were divorced in 1998. David attended College of Southern Idaho, during which time he began and ran several businesses including construction and geological support systems. Later, he worked for his brother, Phillip, as operations manager at Frames by Gottfredson in Scottsdale, Arizona. When Phillip retired his business in 1989, David was employed by American West Frames in Sedona, Arizona, as foreman of operations. He will be missed by family and friends. David Evan Gottfredson passed over peacefully on July 12, 2015, of natural causes. He was 77.

Survived By: His parents and three brothers: Don M., Paul E., and Phillip B.
