GRAHAM, Susan Kay, age 72 of Clinton Township, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 8, 2015.
Susan was born on June 16, 1943 in Grosse Pointe, one of three children to Martin and Cecile (nee Hagan) Stevens. Susan was a 1961 graduate of Regina High School in Harper Woods, Michigan. On June 27, 1964, she married Thomas Graham. Susan and Thomas volunteered their time with Meals on Wheels and building hiking trails across the country with the American Hiking Society.
She was an avid sports fan, with her favorite teams being the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons, and she even coached softball. Susan also enjoyed golfing, bowling and biking. She was an active member the Slow Spokes bike club. She could often be found lounging in the pool just relaxing and taking in the sun. She was devoted to her family and granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
Susan is survived by her husband of 51 years, Thomas; children, Tom Graham, Lynda (Mike) Ramsey and Lori (Paul) Wierbicki; grandchildren, Katlyn (Jared) Carrington and Kelsi Wierbicki; great-grandson, Brody, and sister, Sallie (Phil) Walters. Susan was predeceased by her brother, Woody Stevens, parents, Martin and Cecile, and stepfather Joe Sowers.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Hauss and Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb and from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the funeral home. The funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
