Charles Jorgensen, Sr., husband of Sarah Williams Jorgensen of Main Street, South Windsor, died Monday morning at Hartford Hospital. He was a member of the South Windsor Congregational Church. Besides his wife, he leaves five sons, Charles Jorgensen, Jr., James W. Jorgensen and Howard E. Jorgensen, all of South Windsor, Henry C. Jorgensen of Suffield, and John E. Jorgensen of Manhattan Beach, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Earl H. Abbe of Longmeadow, Mass., and Mrs. Edward G. Carlson of Hartford; two brothers, Henry A. Jorgensen of Bloomfield and John Jorgensen of Hartford; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Thursday [9 Jun 1949] at 2:30 p. m. at the South Windsor Congregational Church with Rev. Fraser Metzger officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, South Windsor. Friends may call at the funeral home of Taylor and Modeen, 233 Washington Street, from 6 p. m. today until 10 a. m. Thursday.
