GLORIA IRENE PERKINS
February 22, 1924 ~ June 21, 2019

Gloria died June 21, 2019, at the Cimarron Nursing Center in Kingfisher.

She was born Feb. 22, 1924, in Waco, Texas, and was raised in Bell County, West Central Texas.

She attended Scott and White Nursing College in Waco and later served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a registered nurse. She retired from nursing in 1971.

Gloria lived all over the world, settling in Altus in 1969. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Altus.

Gloria is survived by her daughters, Julia Crawford of Okarche and Gloria Devol of Athens, Ohio; brother, Gail Childers of New Jersey; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services for Gloria Irene Perkins were held Friday at First Baptist Church in Okarche.

Burial with military honors followed in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.
