NOKOMIS - John Ruffing, 90, of Chula Vista, Calif., formerly of Nokomis, died at 2:05 p.m. Sunday at Chula Vista.

He is survived by three sons, John Jr. of Chula Vista, Calif., Charles of Cleveland, Ohio and Henry of Nokomis; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Spitz of Taylorville and Mrs. Frances Guidish of Nokomis; one sister, Mrs. Augusta Smith of Joilet; one brother, William Deiding of Joilet; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday from St. Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
