Allen Joe Cothren, 66, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. He was a resident of Fort Worth, Texas.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Skyvue Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 7220 Rendon Bloodworth Rd. (7220 FM 1187), Mansfield, TX 76063-8525; (817) 478-6955.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Cothren.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Craig Cothren; wife, Norma Morris Cothren; daughters, Stephanie Cothren, Angela Cothren and Shari Houck (David); son, Stephen Hodges (Dee Ann); sisters, Nancy Long (Bruce) and Debi Baldridge (Bruce); brothers, Bill Cothren (Sandra) and Ronnie Cothren (Diedre); 7 grandchildren, Brittanie Williams (James), Jacob Mejia (Cierra); Christian “CJ” Mejia; Reegan McKenna Hodges and Gunner Montana Hodges; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Robert Morris (Sharon) and Carl Morris (Kim) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Allen was an entrepreneur in the printing, computer components and digital video industries; and an avid fan of motor sports, including NHRA Drag Racing, Dirt Track Racing and motorcycle racing.
