Jean A. Lubold Lesher, 94, formerly of Pottstown and Gratz, passed away Friday at Green Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pitman. She had been a resident of Green Valley facility, the former Friendly Nursing Home, since 2010.
Born in Ashland, Aug. 26, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Carrie Price Lubold.
Jean attended school in the Ashland area and was employed as a factory worker at Ashland Factory and Muskin Shoe Factory and also worked at a factory in Pottstown.
She was of the Lutheran faith and attended St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown. She enjoyed crocheting.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Lesher, who passed away Jan. 22, 2002; three siblings, Erma, Curt and Catherine; sisters-in-law, Minnie Kessler, Mary Lesher and Margaret Kessler; and two brothers-in-law, Marlin and Vernon Lesher.
She is survived by four sisters-in-law, Pauline Herb, Jean Heim, Ruth Chubb and Anna Wiest; two brothers-in-law, Paul and Harry Lesher; nieces and nephews.
A viewing was held from Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Road, Klingerstown. The funeral service, with the Rev. William Danis officiating. Interment was in St. Paul's E.C. Cemetery, Pitman. To sign the online guest book, please visit www.srrfh.com.
