ELKHART — Henry Arthur Mason (Hank), 69, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, July 31.

He was born in Memphis on Dec. 16, 1945, to Vera Mae Williams and Willie Mason, who predeceased him, along with his brother Jerry Williams.

Mr. Mason leaves behind his companion of 30-plus years, Doris Kehr of Elkhart; three children, Ahna and Henrika Mason of Lithonia, Ga., and Eric Robinson of South Bend, along with 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren (with one on the way) of Atlanta; nine brothers and sisters of Memphis; and a very special friend "like" brother, Mr. Maurice Jordan of Merrillville. He also helped raise five stepchildren, all residing in the Atlanta area.

Visitation services for Mr. Mason are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier St., South Bend.

His funeral and burial will commence in Atlanta.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting monetary donations be made to the Henry "Hank" Mason Memorial Fund at www.gofundme.com/​2ek8ng8w or directly to the funeral home to help pay for all funeral expenses.
