Passed away peacefully, on Friday June 13, 2008, in her 92nd year at Versa Care Centre in St. Catharines, ON. Beloved wife of the late Emile Ladouceur. Loving mother of Rene (Donna) Ladouceur, Claudette Bienias, Claire ( Don) Pelletier, Don (Michelle) Ladouceur, Line (Yves) Lefebvre, Huguette (Earl) Shorthouse, Laurette (Robert) Chislhom, Roger Ladouceur and daughter in law Sylvie Ladouceur. Cherished grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Marie-Blanche Mickalko of Sarnia, ON. Predeceased by her son Jacques, daughter Jacqueline, son in law Maurice St. Jean, son in law Joseph Gaudet, son in law Stan Bienias. Rita will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Rita was always a cheerful and caring person, always eager to help and will be remembered by her bright smile. Mom you are the "Sunshine" of our lives and will forever remain in our hearts.
Rita is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, 230 Lake St., at 10am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30pm. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
