Bessie Lee Berry, Galesburg Chapel 87, of Galesburg, formerly of Flora, Illinois died at 3:11 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 27, 1928 in Thompsonville, Illinois the daughter of George and Osie Julian McReynolds. She married William Berry on August 8, 1948 in Thompsonville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2012.
She is survived by her son, Mark (and Theresa) Berry of Mahomet, Illinois; their children, Alex, Mitchell, Matthew, and Jacob Berry; her daughter, Joan (and Bill) Keith of Galesburg; their daughter, Libby (Joel) Zaiser; three great grandchildren, Hannah and Brady Dillbeck and EllenMarie Zaiser; and three nephews and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Ida Johnson and Edna Davis; and a grandson, Michael William Keith.
Bessie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Louisville Baptist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Rev. James Ecklund will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
