Daughter of Matthew "Warren" Bagwell, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth "Polly" Cox.

Gwinnett Co., Ga. Inferior Court records state that Harrison Braswell obtained Letter of Guardianship to take care of Matthew, Clarissa, Tabbitha and Sarah Ann Bagwell, minors and orphans of Warren Bagwell, decd. Larkin Bagwell was listed as security, 17 March, 1842.

1843 Estate records in Anderson Co., S.C. Polly petitioned to sell her land, naming her 4 children, 3 girls and son Matthew Warren Bagwell, Jr. Polly had remarried at this time to Thomas Massey. She died 15 Aug 1894 at the home of her daughter, Nancy Massey Slaughter in Worth Co., GA.

1850 Anderson Co., S.C. census listed these 4 children in the household of their grandfather, John Bagwell, age 90. John died in 1855 and is buried at Sweetwater Baptist Church, Duluth, Gwinnett Co., Ga.

The obituary of Matthew Bagwell, Jr, states that he was raised by his grandfather, John Daniel Bagwell. Matthew is buried at Sweetwater Baptist Church, Gwinnett Co., Ga.

Tabitha is probably buried by her husband at Shiloh (a/k/a Chepultapec) Cemetery, Allgood, Blount Co.,AL. Alabama Death Certificate #32 does not state cemetery location. Her children were:
