Lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, Owen Sound - Peacefully with his family by his side, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009. Gerald Arthur (Jerry) Meades, of Owen Sound, in his 87th year. Dearly beloved husband of Lois Meades (nee Wardell) for 63 years.

Predeceased by his parents, Victor Meades and Dorothy Roberts-Meades; his two infant brothers, Edward and Robert Meades; his step-father, Rev. Lewellyn Roberts (former rector of St. Thomas Anglican Church).

Central Command Squadron assigned with Convoy Escort and Anti Submarine patrol via Sutherland Aircraft 1941-1945.
