Morgan Taylor Jones gained her glittery angel wings on August 5, 2015 at the age of eleven. She graced this world with her fierce presence in The Woodlands, TX on April 21, 2004. Morgan is survived by her loving parents, Thomas Clarence Jones and Ami McClure Jones of Richmond, TX, and her best friend and sister, Reese Payton Jones. Morgan was blessed with amazing grandparents, Roger and Debi Hummel and Ron and Betty Jones, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who stuck by her side. Miraculous Morgan fought her way into this world at 28 weeks gestation weighing only 1 lb. 6 oz. at birth. After 73 days of ups and downs in the Neonatal ICU, Morgan beat the odds and was able to come home. Throughout the past 10 years, Morgan endured a few more battles along the way. At two years old she battled ITP, a rare blood disorder, and she has fought pneumonia a couple times as well. Between each battle, Morgan grew and flourished. She touched the lives of many through her loving heart, positive attitude, compassion for others, and her big, beautiful eyes. Her heart of gold for others shined above all else. If you wanted to put a smile on Morgan's face, all that you needed to do is mention her beloved Texas Thunder All-star Cheerleading team, where she found her true passion for the past three years. We know that God placed Morgan on this earth to bring us together in our faith and teach us all about kindness, honesty, and being able to find the #positivemojo in anything that comes our way. We know that Morgan's legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all her family, friends, and followers. The Jones family is amazed at the love, support, generosity, and prayers that have been sent to them throughout this journey. They would like to thank Dr. Laurie Hogarth for her amazing care and support throughout Morgan's life and Dr. Winston Huh for his wisdom and guidance. A special thanks to the Texas Thunder Cheer family and the surrounding communities for their kindness and generosity. To those close friends, who are like a second family, the Jones' hold you close to their heart for the continued companionship, and love for Morgan and her family. A celebration of Morgan's life will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 2:00 pm, at River Pointe Church in Richmond, TX. To honor Morgan's wishes, the family requests that attire be casual and you show your #positivemojo by wearing a MoJo's Miracle shirt or one of Morgan's favorite colors of pink and mint. Following the service, the family invites guest to join them at the Fort Bend Knights of Columbus Hall in Rosenberg for a treat as sweet as Morgan.
