Mr. Carl Walker, 80, of Navasota, passed away Thursday, August 6th at Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehab. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 15th in the Madeley Chapel at Oakland Cemetery with interment to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel. Mr. Walker was born October 24, 1934 in Gause, Texas to H. M. Walker, Sr., and Mattie Crockett Walker. He married Lenora (Warzon) Walker and together raised they raised two sons. Upon his retirement as a self-employed businessman, him and wife Lenora retired to Navasota. Prior to her death, they enjoyed working in the yard and frequent trips to Louisiana to the casinos. He is survived by granddaughter DeeDee Walker Savant and husband Ivan; grandson Carl Dean Walker and wife, Lauryn; great-grandchildren Lauren and Kristin Kasper, Tyler, Macey and Hannah Savant, and Travis, Michael and Coleton Walker; and sister Margie Dibble of Gause. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lenora Walker, sons Donald Lee Walker and Michael Everrette Walker; brother H. M. (Bud) Walker, Jr., and great-granddaughter Meghan Michelle Kasper. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider a memorial contribution to the American Alzeimers Association, 6055 South Loop East, Houston, TX 77087.
