ENID, Okla. — Memorial service for Larry Clemens, 71, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Willow View United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lesly Broadbent officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson - Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.
Larry was born to Robert and Rebecca (Chambers) Clemens on Oct. 27, 1942, in Enid, Okla., and passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, in Medford, Okla.
Larry grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School.
He began working on the railroad at the age of 16. Larry worked for five different railroads, retiring from Burlington after 40 years, where he was known as "Bimbo."
On Sept. 9, 1989, Larry married Linda Newkirk.
He was a member of Willow View United Methodist Church, where he was a volunteer youth group director for over 10 years. Larry loved nature and spending time in Colorado.
Larry is survived by his wife, Linda; four children, Joey Clemens of Oregon, and Lisa Taylor, Tony Wedel and Kris Miller, all of Enid; 11 grandchildren; and brother, Bob Clemens and wife G.G. of Enid.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Willow View United Methodist Church.
