Milton James Hovorka, 80, of The Villages, Florida, went home to the Lord Thursday, August 6, 2015. Milton moved to The Villages from Rainbow City, Alabama in 1998. He worked as an Elementary School Principal in Eaton Rapids, Michigan from 1973 until retirement in the early 90's. He was a US Navy veteran serving as Chief Petty Officer during the Korea/Vietnam Era.

Milton loved life in The Villages; enjoying golf, dining out and music events. He was a member of both the Czech Club and Street Rod Club and he also dabbled with musical instruments. He was a member of New Life Presbyterian Church in Fruitland Park, singing in the choir and enjoying small group Bible study. He was always jovial, a real practical joker, an avid photographer and loved to travel. He could often be seen at Dunkin' Donuts looking for the Managers Special.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Delite Tolleson Hovorka; second wife, Wilma Cox Hovorka and a daughter, Kathleen Ann Kantor.

He is survived by daughter, Angela Marie Levendoski (Ted), Holt, Michigan; son, Milton "Jay" Hovorka, Lansing, Michigan; eight grandchildren and dear friend, Carolyn Elkins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 4 – 6 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2105 at 11 am with Pastor Dan Bauman officiating at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
