Julia Kathryn Virginia Tucker was born in Collinsdale, WV. Daughter to James Charles Tucker and Julia Ann Laughary. Julia was known to all as "Kathryn". Kathryn grew up in a family of fifteen children. The Tucker's found it difficult at times to care for all of the children. Kathryn, being strong, made her place in the family.

Kathryn Tucker met Robert Earl Washington early in 1943. It was soon after, she decided Robert was her lifelong "soul mate" Kathryn married Robert in 1944. Kathryn started her life as a mother and wife. Her first son Robert was born a year after their marriage, following were another ten children.

Kathryn and Robert spent many hours traveling to Holy Ghost ministry revivals. She played a large part in Robert's calling by God to the ministry. Many times, Kathryn and Robert would pack up their younger children and travel to a revival. Kathryn many times became a "faith serpent handler" at some revivals. Robert Earl her love, passed in the year 2002, which left Kathryn lost in life without him. She was truly devoted to him,
Kathryn was a no nonsense person, ruling with a loving hand and forgiving heart. She has passed and is resting along side of her "Robert" in heavenly love.

We will all miss her "golden tooth" and beautiful smile of kindness.
