MRS. BELL
ATLANTA, Ga. --- Mrs. Claudia "Granny" Bell, 97, of Atlanta died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at South Fulton Medical Center in East Point, Ga.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1:30 p.m. (CST) at St John United Methodist Church in LaFayette with the Revs. Lawrence Watts and J. S Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughter, Ruth Heard of Birmingham; her daughter-in-law, Mattie Whitlow of Birmingham; her brother-in-law, Jim Whitlow of LaFayette; four granddaughters, Annie Ruth Bailey of Atlanta, Brenda, Linda and Vickie, all of Birmingham; five grandsons, Charlie L. Heard of Atlanta, Frank Whitlow of LaFayette, Aaron Whitlow, Ricky and Milton, all of Birmingham; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two special friends, JoAnn Heard and William Smith.

Mrs. Whitlow was a member of Ervon United Methodist Church in Birmingham.

Vines Funeral Home in LaFayette is handling arrangements.
