Greg Costello of Amelia Island, died November 2, 2005, as a result of cardiac arrest. Mr. Costello was born November 28, 1942. A graduate of Florida State University, he retired from Prudential Insurance Company in 1998. At the time of his death he was employed part-time at the Fernandina Beach Golf Club and Royal Amelia Golf Links (now Amelia Island Plantation Golf Club).

The family expresses gratitude to John Vickers and Michael Robley; the Fernandina Beach Fire and Rescue; and the medical staff of Baptist Medical Center-Nassau and Jacksonville. Due to their efforts, the family had time to say goodbye and release him to our Heavenly Father. The family also expresses appreciation for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service in celebration of Greg's life on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, 4:00 p.m., at the Fernandina Beach Golf Clubhouse, Bill Melton Road. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Greg's memory for the purchase of a Heart Defibrillator for the Fernandina Beach Golf Club (checks should be made payable to the "Greg Costello Memorial Fund" and mailed to the Law Office of Brian Morrissey, 406 Ash Street, Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034); or a donation to the American Heart Association, Post Office Box 21475, St. Petersburg, Florida 33742 (800-275-0771).
