Joan had attended the Nararene churches in Cridersville, Wapakoneta and St. Mary's where she had participated in the missionary societies, women's ministries and senior groups of the churches. She was also a member of the St. Rita's Medical Center retirees. She had worked in medical records at the hospital for fifteen years.
Survivors include 5 sons: David Nuesmeyer of Lima, Kermit (Joan) Nuesmeyer of Zanesfield, Richard (Becky) Nuesmeyer of Cridersville, Ernest (Brenda) Nuesmeyer of Wapak and Kenny (Chris McClintock) Nuesmeyer of Cridersville, 3 daughters: Vicki Jo (Wally) Herald of Lima, Arlene (Mike Burke) Packard of Kyle, TX and Carol Blass of Lima; step children: Sandra (Ron) Miller, Brenda Kelly, Debra (Buddy) Vining and David (Jeane) Kiefer all of St. Mary's; 10 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Ruby Hilvers of Lima.
Joan was preceded in death by a brother Roger Parkins, sisters: Thelma M. Luna and Imogene G. Swick and a great granddaughter Haleigh Marie Albers.
The family will recieve friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Cridersville Church of the Nararene with pastors Jonathon Spyker and John Dodds officiaiting. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery New Knoxville.
