Funeral services for Mr. Don Parker of Winnsboro, La will be 2:00pm Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Wayside Pentecostal Church in Winnsboro, La with Bro. Tommy Cotten, Jr., Bro. Peyton Parker and Bro. Richie Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, August 7, 2015 at the church.

Mr. Parker was born January 31, 1939 in Winnsboro, La and passed from this life on August 5, 2015 in Monroe, La at the age of 76. He was a lifelong resident of Winnsboro, La and was employed with the Louisiana State Department of Transportation for 40 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a faithful member of Wayside Pentecostal Church.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Donniece Murrell Parker and his parents, Julian Parker, Jr. and Colie Howie Parker.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Phyllis Ashley Parker; three daughters, Bobbie L. Littrell & husband Carl, Julie C. Kunzler & husband Mike all of Winnsboro and Robin Grant & Trevis Wheeling of West Monroe; two sons, Daniel Parker & wife Beverly of Gilbert and David Grant of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Caleb McDaniel & wife Lexi of Winnfield, Aaron Kunzler, Michelle McDaniel, Erika Kunzler & Carlos Ledesma, Bethany Kunzler & Dakota Parks, Emily Grant, Lauren Grant, Allie Kate Grant all of Winnsboro, Carson, Jeremiah, Levi & Allison Wheeling of West Monroe; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Jonathan Beaird of Winnsboro and one great-granddaughter on the way, Kaylee Rayne Parks; three brothers, Jim Parker & wife Peggy of Delhi, Tyrone Parker & wife Judy of Haughton and Peyton Parker & wife Joyce Kaye of Winnsboro; four sisters, Bennett Bradley & husband Robert, Mary Ann Carrington and husband Isaac, Gloria Williams and Dixie Newman & husband Robert all of Winnsboro; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Danny Parker, David Carrington, Robert Wayne Parker, Timothy Parker, Jerry Simmons, Jimmy Edwards, Chris Teasley and Josh Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb McDaniel, Aaron Kunzler, T.P. “Tippy” Bethea and Paul Richmond.
