Funeral services for Lyda Herman, 70, who died Monday at the Community Hospital, will be in the Culbertson United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Richard Atherton officiating. Friends may call at the Herrmann Funeral Chapel in Culbertson. The casket will not be opened at the church. Interment will be in the Culbertson cemetery.
Mrs. Herman was born at Table Rock on March 8, 1909, the daughter of the late William and Blanche Hayek. She attended high school at Table Rock and graduated from McCook Junior College and from Peru College. Mrs. Herman taught school for several years in Culbertson and retired several years ago.
She was married to Phillip Herman at Trenton on June 21, 1939, and he survives. Other survivors are a son, Douglas, San Diego, California; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Mary) Reppert, Bethesda, Maryland; four grandchildren; a brother, Durward Hayek, Mira Loma, California.
