FITCHBURG - Anna L. "Ann" (McCafferty) Curkeet, age 58, of Fitchburg, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 7, 1957, in Madison, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Barlow) McCafferty. Ann married Eugene E. Curkeet on May 17, 1975, in Fitchburg.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring person that impacted the lives of all who knew her. Ann worked for AT&T for 30 years until her retirement. During these years, she acquired many friends and her love of God helped guide her on her journey. Ann was a very giving and unselfish person with a contagious laugh.

She will be missed by her husband; daughters, Aubriana and Mikayla; grandson, Alexander; sister, Elizabeth (Liz) McCafferty; brothers, Chuck (Linda) McCafferty and Bill (Judy) McCafferty; and mother and father-in-law, Loyd and Phylis Curkeet.

Her love extended to her many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dick McCafferty.

Burial will be held at Oak Hall Cemetery.
