The 1920 census recorded him living in Bastrop County, Texas, with wife Clara and children: Emil S., 17; Camilla, 13; Clara, 11; son Delk M., 8; Elaine P., 4; and Chares [Charles], 1. He was occupied as a truck farmer.

Daughter Elaine P. Oden died February 6, 1920.
