Zella was a lifelong resident of Johnston County and attended school at Nida and later graduated from Tishomingo High School. She attended college for two years and married Glen Wright in 1939 in Johnston County. He preceded her in death in 1983. Zella worked as a homemaker, farmer and a rancher. In 1986 Zella went to work for the Chickasaw Head start where she worked for several years. Zella truly enjoyed working with children. Zella also enjoyed shopping, she loved cats and to take care of her kittens. Zella loved dancing with her husband at country dances.
Zella is survived by: 73 Nieces 44 Nephews
Other relatives and friends.
Zella was preceded in death by brothers; Buster Vandeventer, Tex Vandeventer, Hugh Vandeventer, Oscar Vandeventer, Frank Vandeventer and Hershal Vandeventer. Sisters; Birdie Cumbas, Maggie Parks, Theo Wolfe, Mammie Brunson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday May 18 in Tishomingo Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30am
With Rev. Roger Rundsville officiating, assisted by Larry Stillwell
Serving pallbearers for the service will be:
Stanley Parks of Tishomingo; Gerald Parks of Calera; Allen Vandeventer of Ringling; Larry Stillwell of Shawnee and Taylor Parks of Tishomingo.
