Marilla was the daughter of John Skinner and Margaret (Williamson) McCreary. In 1880 she was single and living with her parents and siblings in Quincy, Adams Co, IL. She married Daniel W Andrews, and he died in 1900. She followed him into eternity in 1909 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
