Funeral services were held Saturday August 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Mt. Olive, MS for Jamie Diane Thompson Griffith who passed away on August 5, 2015 in Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.

Rev. Trent Sullivan and Rev. Billy Bridges officiated. Pall bearers were: Simmien Langston, Blake Lee, Stephen Berry, Jason Lee, Jimmy Butler, John Hux and Zack Hux.

Jamie was born on November 18, 1951 in Magee, MS. She was the daughter of Mr. James Earl Walker and Louise Holmes Walker. She retired as a cafeteria manager for Lawrence County School system after 24 years of service. She was an Eastern Star and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Griffith of Mt. Olive, MS; her son Wes Thompson of New Hebron, MS; two daughters, Melissa Langston of Oakvale, MS and Nikki Lee of New Hebron, MS; five grandchildren; four sisters, Edna Earl Beard of Bolton, MS, Patsy Turner of Collins, MS, Mary Shoemake of Petal, MS and Wendy Bridges of New Hebron, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don ; one sister and one grandson.
