Valerie (Val) Mullins, age 69. of Brillion returned peacefully to the Lord on Saturday, Sept 11, 1999 at home as the result of cancer.
She was born on Dec. 20, 1929 in St Nazianz, daughter of the late Albin (Dave) and Bertha Heinzen. She married Barney Mullins on May 16, 1953 at St Gregory Church in St Nazianz. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1992.
Val was the owner and president of Mullins Oil Company Inc., which is celebrating 50 years in affiliation with Amoco Oil.
She was a member of St Mary's Parish, Brillion, including the Christian Mothers, Altar Society and Funeral Choir. Val was a founding member of the Amoco State Jobbers Association and served on the Board of Directors. She was also a member of the Petroleum Marketers of Wisconsin, Brillion Chamber of Commerce and the Kitchen Kut-Ups. Val will be deeply missed as she was very active and held various positions in these organizations.

Val is survived by two daughters-in-law, Ann Lefeber, husband Gary and their children Amy and Becky of Hilbert; Sue Cohen, husband Bill and children Nicole and Joshua of Brillion; four sons, Tom, wife Lesa and children Melissa, Melanie, Rachel, Michael and David of Appleton; Mark, wife Lynn and children Kara, Marissa and Aaron of Green Bay, Jack, wife Kay and children Eric and Auston of Appleton; Brian of Shorewood and fiance Sue Wisniewski; two sisters, Cele Heinzen of St. Nazianz, Jean Sempier, husband Ron of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Paul Heinzen, wife Betty of Manitowoc.
Sisters-in-law Mary Ann Daun, husband Paul of Chilton, Carol Heinzen' of Kiel, Dorothy Mullins of Manitowoc, Jan Theisen of Manitowoc, Ruth Willems, husband Bob of Reedsville, and Carmen Mullins of Appleton. Brother-in-law Phil Mullins, wife Darlene of Brownsville.
In addition to her husband and parents, Val was preceded in death brothers Victor and Roman, grandson Andy Mullins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday at the funeral home beginning at 8 a.m. until the Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at St Mary's Church in Brillion with Father Tom Long officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
