Wanda Norman, 60, of Beavertown, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Aug. 4, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.She was born Feb. 1, 1955, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Boyd and Beatrice (Glover) Loss. On Nov. 20, 1976, she married Patrick Norman, her beloved husband of 38 years, who survives.Wanda attended Middleburg High School. She later received her CDA in 2010 from Northhampton University.She was employed for 30 years. at Head Start SUMCD working in a variety of positions until ultimately becoming an Assistant Teacher from 2009-2015.Wanda was a member of Christ Church in Beaver Springs.She loved spending time in her garden and her flower beds. As a family, we can remember the moments spent riding bikes, going to picnics, riding in the golf cart on our nature trails and many more activities. Her grandchildren were precious to her. She loved being involved in their lives. Whether it was a sporting event, dance recital or just spending time with them, she cherished every moment she was given with them. She lived a selfless life, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Throughout her battle with cancer, her faith in God never wavered. God was her rock, and he has now welcomed her home. She'll be missed by her family and many friends.In addition to her husband, Wanda is survived by two daughters and one son; Ginger Kline and husband, Mark, Melanie Ulmer and husband, Brian, and Jeremy Norman and spouse, Lori Hackenberg; her grandchildren, Alex Tittle, Gabriella Norman, Audreyauna Norman, Alaina Ulmer and Lily Ulmer; five sisters, Marjorie Runyan and husband, Richard, Joann Hall, Sylvia Fultz, Gloria Good and husband, Edward, and Cindy Loss; three brothers, Gary Loss and wife, Joyce, Dean Loss, and Dennis Loss and wife, Cindy; one sister in law, Jan Smith; one brother in law, David Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.Friends and family will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Christ Church in Beaver Springs and again from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating.Burial will follow in Troxelville Union Cemetery.Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
