Billy Henry Stinnett, 77, of Grayson went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015 at his residence following a long illness. Bill was born Oct. 26, 1937 in Grayson a son of the late Ruben and Emily James Stinnett. Bill worked many years as a meat cutter in area grocery stores until he opened up his own business Stinnett’s Meat Processing. Bill served as deacon and member of Smith Branch Enterprise Baptist Church and was a former member of the Grayson Vol. Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife Daisy Stephens Stinnett in 2012, also two brothers James C and Jack Stinnett, and one sister Catherine Taylor. Bill survivors include one son, Marcel “Debbie Jane” Stinnett of Grayson; one daughter, Beverly Smith of Danville; one sister, Sue Meade of Grayson; two grandchildren, Courtney Yates and Richelle Jackson; one great-granddaughter Summer Meade. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday at Malone Funeral Home with Elder Leo Ison and Elder Tim Porter, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memorial Gardens.
