Carolyn is survived by her two sons and their wives, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Dale Williamson, mother Blanche (Eaves) Williamson, her good friend Wayne Bartles, and her infant granddaughter Monica Ziegler.
Carolyn was born on Friday 13th, May 1932 in Julesburg, CO to Dale and Blanche Williamson. She graduated valedictorian from Julesburg High School in 1950. Although she was accepted to the Colorado School of Mines, Carolyn began working for her parents at Williamson Greenhouse after high school. She traveled to San Diego before opening her own store, Carolyn’s Flowers, in the early 1970s. Carolyn had two sons who remember her as a strong, independent, and hardworking mother who loved them very much.
Carolyn was an accomplished florist, working long after her retirement. She was a bright individual who loved local history, traveling, and hunting for arrowheads. She was a member of DAR, American Women’s Legion Auxiliary, and the historical society. She was also a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church and an active participant of her community. More than anything, she loved her family, friends, cats, and flowers.
