George Hillman "Hick" Begley passed away August 2, 2015 at Bristol Memorial Hospital due to extended illness.

Hick is preceded in death by his parents George and Caroline Begley and his siblings Walter Begley, David Begley, Mike Begley, Wiley "Boose" Begley, Earl Wayne Begley, and Janet Begley Cole. He is survived by his wife Sue Begley, son, Shane Begley and daughter Selena Begley, grandsons Dustin Begley, Louie Begley, Gage Begley, granddaughters Shelby Begley, Keeley Woliver, and Kaley Woliver, siblings Bobbie Rash, Judy Young, Ewing Begley, Tim Begley, Claire "Clete" Lemberg, Jason Begley and William "Bill" Begley. Hick is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia, Va. Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be held at the Morris Cemetery (Keokee, Va) on Thursday at 11 a.m. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
