Mrs. Willa Jean Tolley Williams, 90, of Columbia, died Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Born in Avery County, NC on March 11, 1925, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Hettie Elizabeth Gribble Tolley. Jean was a dedicated Army wife, and a devoted member of Sandy Level Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Claude A. Williams; daughter, Claudia Williams; and grandson, John Mark Dial.
Survivors include her daughter, Camellia "Cam" W. Dial (Allard) of Columbia; sons, John Charles Williams (Pamela) of Raleigh, NC, Mark Edward Williams (Joan) of Sonoita, AZ; three grandchildren, Gina D. Cotton (Robby) of Blythewood, Matthew and Jordan Williams of Raleigh; three great grandchildren, Heyward, Andrew and Mark Moak.
Burial will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
