Clayton, of Silsbee, passed away at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital.

A native of Louisiana he was a longtime resident of this area.

He proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII and was a papermaker at Temple Inland.

Survivors include his wife Marilyn Jones Cox; daughter Rita Clare; three sons, George Cox, Jonathan Cox and Michael Cox; brother E. H. Cox; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
