Kristian Lakso was killed in the disaster at Scofield, Utah. 200 good men died here. 114 are buried in Scofield, 69 in Utah and 12 in other states. NO the numbers do not add up. They did not add up at the time, May 1st, 1900.

J.W.Dilly spells this name as Christ Lackso. At the time of the disaster 1/2 the names were mispelled.

Kristian Lakso (also spelled Laakso.)Born. 1876 Kauhajoki, Vassa, Finland.His Father:Gabriel Lakso. Mother Helena Uuron-Maki. His Brother, My Great Grandfather was Walentine (Wally) Lakso. Wally & His father in law David Uro/ UUro also worked at the Mine. Wally was said to have been sick that day, and was spared. after the accident the family moved to frontier, Wyo & then Canada & then Vermont. Wally Died from black lung in mass.
