Monday, August 3, 2015 at her
home.
Services will
be Friday,
August 7,
2015; 10:30
a.m. at Butler
Volland
Chapel,
Hastings with
Pastor Cindy
Karges officiating. Burial will be
in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be given to the
family for a memorial to be
established at a later date.
Visitation will be Thursday,
August 6, 2015; 5:00 p.m. -
7:00 p.m. with the family present
and one hour prior to the
service at the funeral home on
Friday. Private condolences
may be sent to the family at
www.lbvfh.com. Livingston
Butler Volland Funeral Home &
Cremation Center is serving
the family.
Wilma was born October 27,
1916, in Valparaiso, Nebraska,
to Gus and Etta (Seedlund)
Nelson. She graduated from
Valparaiso High School in
1934. Wilma married Howard
L. Richards on December 15,
1936; he preceded her in death
on December 24, 1997. She
was a member of Grace United
Methodist Church and was a
past president of the Eagles
Auxiliary. Wilma was a psychtech
at Hastings Regional
Center, she was a seamstress,
and worked at Hastings
Canvas. She was past president
of Young Matrons at the
YWCA and past president of
the Unknown People of
Hollywood. She was a grandma
to everyone. She was always
there for anyone who needed
help. Wilma enjoyed dancing,
cards, traveling, and shuffleboard.
Wilma was preceded in
death by her parents; husband;
son-in-law, Lanny Hajny; two
sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include, daughters,
Alyce Faye Hajny of Hastings,
NE, Bonnie Smith of Lincoln,
NE; grandchildren and spouse,
Mike and Melissa Hajny of
Juniata, NE, Brad Hajny of
Hastings, NE; great grandchildren,
Ashley Hajny of Hastings,
NE, Matthew Hajny of
Hastings, NE, Mindy Ackerman
of Omaha, NE, Jesse Ackerman
of Juniata, NE; great great
grandchildren, Carter Pierson
of Hastings, NE.
