Mrs. Violet Webb West, 75, of Poulan died Monday August 3, 2015 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday at Poulan Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Mike DeLoach will officiate.
Mrs. West was born in Tifton on July 26, 1940 to the late Matthew Marshall and Annette Clements Webb. She had lived in Poulan since 1947 and was formerly employed with Sylvester Textile. Mrs. West was a member of the Poulan Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was a seamstress and enjoyed softball.
Survivors include her sons, Troy D. West, Jr. (Sharon) of Poulan, Alan M. West (Bonnie) of Poulan, Kyle G. West of Augusta, John C. West (Lauren) of Poulan; brother, Terry Webb of Poulan; mother-in-law, Janie L. "Poly" West of Valdosta; brother-in-law, Hugh Harris West (Jerry) of Valdosta; grandchildren, Kaya Ford (Jeremy), Trey West, Dillon West (Lexie), Dalton West; great grandchildren, Cooper, Grant and Mason Ford.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. West was preceded in death by husband, Troy D. West, Sr. on November 29, 2013.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Banks Funeral Home.
