Anna Margaret Jarrett, 98, of Fairmont, passed away Monday (July 27, 2015) at the Tygart Center at Fairmont Campus.
She was born Aug. 15, 1916, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Charles and Martha Skarzenski.
Mrs. Jarrett was born in Marion County and lived on Mary Lou Retton Drive throughout her adult life. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Fairmont.
Anna was the last surviving member of 15 children. In addition to her siblings and her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jarrett; and a son-in-law, Joseph Gross.
She is survived by two children, Martha Gross of Fairmont, and Robert Jarrett and wife Woodie of California; two grandchildren, Todd Jarrett and wife Melanie of California, and Stephanie Janke, also of California; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Jarrett, Olivia Jarrett, Jackson Jarrett and Lauren Janke; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may meet at 10 a.m. Friday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont. Everyone will then proceed to the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton for a committal service at 11 a.m. with Father S.A. Arokiadass officiating.
