MARK RANDALL COLE, 55, of Mansfield and formerly of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on Sunday morning, August 2, 2015 at MedCentral-Mansfield Hospital.

Mark was born November 11, 1959, the son of John M. and Phyllis Cole of Bucyrus. He graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1978 and attended North Central State College. He was currently employed at Pittsburgh Glass Works as a Systems Engineer.

Besides his parents, he is survived by sons, Christopher (Heather) and Matthew (Eliza) Cole and their children, Seayra and Alexxus. He is also survived by brother, Michael (Eva) Cole, Dallas, Texas. He leaves behind nephews, Joshua, Joseph, Aaron Cole and niece Hannah King and 10 grand-nephews and nieces. Also, one aunt, Ann Mullins of Bucyrus and many cousins.

Those who knew Mark well understood him to be a man with great love for his family and one who deeply valued true friendships. He was brilliant, hardworking, and 100% dedicated to whatever he set his mind to. He highly valued excellence and had an amazing ability to challenge and inspire others to reach their fullest potential. All of these wonderful qualities were wrapped up in his witty and unique sense of humor, which was characteristic of all who met him.

Mark was an accomplished musician and had a deep passion and love for music all of his life. He was involved in various bands throughout his life, most recently as drummer for the Ohio Express Band.

Calling hours will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 7 at Wise Funeral Service, 129 W. Warren Street, Bucyrus, Ohio, 44820. The funeral service will be held immediately following at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Joshua Cole will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to BORN (Bucyrus Outreach & Restoration Network) or the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
