CARLSBAD - Captola Marie "Cappie" Pakaski, 77, died of heart failure, Monday, June 5, 2006.
Born Oct. 4, 1928, in Missouri, she lived in Carlsbad for 41 years. She retired in 1985 from the retail clerks union.
Mrs. Pakaski was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Lora Washburn.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ted Pakaski of Carlsbad; sons and daughter-in-law Steven and Taffy Flett of Vista, Robert Pakaski of Carlsbad and Bill Flett of Vista; daughters and son-in-law Sondra Dunn of St. Louis and Linda and Ken Akin of Vista; brothers and sister-in-law Clifford and Rita Washburn and Robert Washburn, all of St. Louis; sister Carol Rauls of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 S. El Camino Real, Oceanside, with The Rev. Dr. Richard Miller officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with The Rev. Miller officiating.
