Edward G. Nicholas, 77, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice House.

Ed was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of the 82nd Airborne stationed in Germany.

He was a member of the Lawnton American Legion Post 998 and the Steelton VFW Post 148.

He enjoyed watching the Phillies, Eagles, and NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline J. Nicholas; 1 stepdaughter, Suellen Parks, of Harrisburg; 5 stepsons, Larry, Richard and John Parks, all of Harrisburg, Steve Parks, (Diane), of Stratford, VA and Terry Feister, (Patti), of Pinehurst, NC; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Raymond Nicholas, of Harrisburg and John Nicholas, of Valley Forge.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Joanne; and his brother, Joseph.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg.


Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, with full military honors. A viewing will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
